Hello and welcome to Glastonbury Dental Associates! We hope you enjoy your time here and want to do everything we can to make your next visit seamless and simple. We look forward to providing you comfortable and comprehensive dental care. Below, you’ll find plenty of information that helps you get started with becoming a new patient at our dental office. This includes important paperwork you’ll need to fill out as well as options for financing your future treatments. If you have questions or concerns that aren’t addressed here, give us a call!
Your First Visit
Your appointment will begin with a review of your medical and dental history to learn how to best care for you as a person. Your initial examination will include a full set of X-rays (if you need them), and a detailed, tooth-by-tooth examination during which we chart the health of your teeth, restorations, and gums. We also will perform a soft tissue examination that includes an oral cancer screening, and a detailed examination of the muscles and bones of your jaw joint (TMJ). Because a picture is worth a thousand words, we also use a special intraoral camera to take photographs of all your teeth, so you can see what we see, and to help explain any problems you may have. On occasion, we may also take digital pictures of your smile, and make models of your teeth to help us plan your case.
Once we have all the information we need, our dentists will take time to explain all of your treatment options and answer any questions you have regarding your treatment. It is our goal that every patient leaves our dental office confidently understanding not only what they need, but why they need it.
Patient Forms
It’s always a good thing to save a few minutes after arriving for your first dental visit. If you would like to save time at the start of your first appointment, you can easily fill out all the necessary paperwork you need within the comfort of your own home! Once completed, simply bring the forms with you to your appointment and we’ll take care of the rest. Soon, you’ll be introduced to one of our dentists and be able to complete your appointment in a more timely fashion.

Everything from your account and insurance balance, online payment options, and appointment/treatment history are available at your fingertips! Plus, you can easily schedule your next appointment.
Dental Insurance
It’s no secret that having dental insurance can make a big difference when you need to save money on treatments. Our dental office is in-network with many major insurance providers. Once you fill out your claim, we’ll make sure to file it on your behalf. Of course, we’ll also file claims for your insurance even if you are out-of-network. Our dental office staff will gladly go over the details of your coverage to make sure that you're maximizing your dental benefits.

Our dental office does everything it can to be as transparent as possible when it comes to finances and paying for treatments. If we recommend a treatment, it’s because we believe that it is what’s best for your oral and overall health. That’s why we try to make care as affordable as possible to our patients. Third-party financing options like CareCredit allow those without dental insurance to pay for care in more manageable chunks, typically with little to zero interest attached.
